ANOTHER SPECIAL APR 22nd EARTH DAY FOR UNIQUE GLASSWARE COMPANY

Earth Day was established to respect life on our earth. It is vital that its focus is not relegated to just one day a year.It should become our firm way of life! No other company shows such comittment to earth stewardship than the Green Glass company, the makers of \"the friendliest glasses on earth!\"

/24-7PressRelease.com/ SCHOFIELD WI, April 17 2005 - The Green Glass company bears testimony to this way of life. The company founded 14 years ago by two enthusiastic entrepreneurs welcome the fact that they can once again partake in Earth Day celebrations.

Green Glass Inc, which opened for business late 2002, is an innovative company that converts reclaimed bottles into elegant glassware. Its one-of-a-kind products are available to the American public at select national retail venues, which include the Museum Shop, Wyoming Art Museum Gift Shop, Gaiam, and Sundance.

"People are intrigued not only by the beauty and functionality of the glasses, but also by their origin," Green Glass CEO Sean Penrith said. "Turning something ordinary into something extraordinary captivates people's imaginations, but the creative reuse of the bottles also expresses the buyer's concern for the environment. These elegant glasses make a positive statement about the future of our planet."

The bottles are being collected from throughout the United States and Canada. Instead of being sent to a landfill or crushed and melted down, the bottles are converted into distinctive glassware through an ingenious patented inversion process at the new Green Glass manufacturing plant in Schofield, WI.

Revered in Europe and other parts of the world as collectable art glass, these unique drinking glasses, goblets and tumblers make great corporate gifts and are perfect for a wide variety of other marketing functions. Glasses personalized with corporate names and logos not only provide enduring brand exposure, they contain a special ingredient...the magic of a potent story behind the origin and crafting of the glass.

"The glasses are not only attractive and functional, they're also symbols of environmental stewardship and awareness," Penrith said. "It's the basis upon which the company has been built and marketed in 11 countries worldwide with a client base that includes Disney, Sundance, Warner Bros. and BMW."

Unlike other recycling efforts, Green Glass uses the entire bottle - retaining the essence of the original beverage's shape and brand image. The bottle is separated allowing the body of the bottle, once inverted to become the bowl of the goblet. The stem is formed by twisting the bottle's neck closed while the mouth is flared to create the foot. The result is unique stemware that is, in fact, an inverted 're-used' bottle.

Penrith said it is appropriate that Green Glass Inc. is headquartered in Wisconsin, the home state of former Sen. Gaylord Nelson, who was instrumental in establishing the national observance of Earth Day.

"The objective of Earth Day is to create a demonstration of concern for the environment and to increase awareness, responsibility and action toward a clean, healthy future for the planet," Penrith said. "It's a message we attempt to carry forth every day of the year at Green Glass and we look forward to the activities for this year with enthusiasm. "
